Formula √6
Summary
Run time trial races on a small moon! Try not to crash, fling yourself off into space, or fall victim to any number of other unfortunate results. I recommend double-checking the location of the "Restart Checkpoint" button.
WebGL: You must click on the game window at least once for audio to play!
A quick prototype made in three hours for Trijam #241 with the theme: "Sometimes Accidents Happen". Note that many analysts dispute the use of the term 'accident' to describe motor vehicle crashes, because they are almost always someone's fault.
Controls
Try to complete three laps in the shortest time possible! Green and blue lights will always highlight the current and next checkpoint. If you want to start a new race you will currently need to refresh the page or restart the application.
Please check all the controls carefully before starting your vehicle:
Keyboard | Gamepad | |
Thrust/Accelerate | Space | A (south face button), RT |
Turn (only while thrusting) | A/D, Left/Right Arrow Keys | Left Stick, D-Pad |
Restart Checkpoint | R | Y (north face button) |
If you would like to brake you may press Left Control, or the B button on your gamepad. However, any braking effects you experience while doing this will be purely a coincidence.
Inspirations
- Deadly Premonition "Racing Idiot".
- Budget 90s PC racing games. Were they really this bad? In my memory, yes.

Jesus Christ the controls and camera on this are actually psychotic
Formula √6 Gameplay
Can’t believe that you made this game in 3 hours, that’s very cool! It would be nice if you make the pillars transparent when they are closer to the camera. Good job!
